Tonight | Shakey Graves w/ Esme Patterson, and Joe Sundell @ The Sinclair
Attention friends of Music Savage…especially those in the Greater Boston area. Tonight we are in for a boot-stompin’, hand-clapping good time as we welcome back Austin troubadour Alejandro Rose-Garcia, aka Shakey Graves, to our fair city. The last time the Texas tallboy was in our neck of the woods was back in September 2013 when he opened for Shovels & Rope at the Royale. Man that was a show! I also got to see Shakey shake the stage at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island this year, after which I turned to Kyle and said “Well that’s it… he will sell out every show here in New England from here on in.”
That statement has proven to be true, not only here but across the country as well. Shakey is touring in support of his newly released sophomore album, And The War Came, and his shows have been selling out left and right. Such is the case for his stop here tonight at one of the best venues in the area, The Sinclair in Harvard Square. Joining him for the fun this evening are two of his talented musical friends. His muse for the new album, Denver’s very own Esme Patterson, and fellow Austinite Joe Sundell.
Just because the show is sold out doesn’t mean you can’t find tickets! Hit the internet folks and get yourself to Cambridge this evening. If you do come find the Music Savage gang as most of us will be there kicking up our heels and swinging our partners.
For a taste of what is in store check out Shakey’s performance on Conan.
