This week’s WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused yet again on the city in West Yorkshire, England. It is the third time that Leeds band The Golden Age of TV are SOTW recipients, making them the first to three-peat! This time the honor is for the brilliant new single, “Caught in Doors,” which will be featured on their upcoming self-titled EP due to be released soon.
The Golden Age of TV are Bea Fletcher (vocals), Andrew Edwards (bass/vocals), Sam Carty (vocals/guitar/keys), Ryan Bird (guitar), and Josh Ketch (drums. The quintet officially formed in the summer of 2016 and have been taking the music world by storm with their unique sound. I mean just take a listen to the new single and hear that frenetic burst of sound pour out of your speakers. I think this single has enough energy to power a city!
The band have opened for major acts in Europe, and played high-powered sets at Leeds and Reading festivals… without having an EP or album released! With the debut EP on the way it is only a matter of time before they headline their own tour and have other up and coming bands opening for them.
