Song of the Week | Lucy Spraggan – End Of The World
The new WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” shines down on the amazing song, “End Of The World,” from English musician Lucy Spraggan. It’s the latest single from her upcoming fifth studio album, Today Was A Good Day,” out May 3rd via Cooking Vinyl.
Spraggan’s musical career started as a performer at open-mic nights across England. It took off after performing her song, “Last Night (Beer Fear), on UK’s The X Factor, which helped her self-release her debut album, Now she is the only X Factor contestant ever to be asked to play Glastonbury…not once but twice! That is quite an accomplishment if I do say so myself.
2019 has already been a pretty big deal as well. With supporting Melissa Etheridge in Europe and popping up on stages across SXSW in Austin early on, she’ll now be focusing on a headline tour across the US and Europe, including a 13-date UK headlining tour.
Take a listen to this single “End Of The World” and you will be smitten my friends! It’s s a satisfyingly happy song about being with someone you love as the world comes to an end. I have pressed play on this one time and time again while wondering how it is that Lucy Spraggan isn’t as big a name here in the U.S. as it is in Europe. Let’s change that shall we?
