Song of the Week | Diane Coffee - Like A Child Does

The new WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” is brightly focused on the stellar new single, “Like A Child Does,” from southern California musician Diane Coffee. It’s the second single from his forthcoming third album, Internet Arms, out April 19 on Polyvinyl.
Diane Coffee is the dazzling glam-rock persona of the multi-talented artist Shaun Fleming. The former Foxygen drummer started to craft his new presence while on tour with the band and pretty much wrote and recorded the debut album, My Friend Fish, while on the road. It was released in 2013 and a year later he teamed up with Killer Mike and El-P to be a part of Run The Jewels sophomore album, Run The Jewels 2, followed one year later by his 2015 sophomore album, Everybody’s a Good Dog. That is quite a run of captivating creativity right there!
With the second single, “Like A Child Does,” Diane Coffee offers up a serving of hot beats and falsetto harmonies which will make you want to strut around the house in your finest sparkle-pants like you own the place. And perhaps you do… so dance!
Word on the street is that his live act is something to behold and you will get a chance to see it for yourself in the Boston area when he vamps up the stage at Sonia on Wednesday, May 19th in Cambridge.
