Martin’s latest headlining tour, featuring opener/booking agent/friend/wild man Tommy Alexander, unfolded into a night of reflection and raw—and often humorous—storytelling, echoing the poignant vibes of his critically-acclaimed album, “Thank God We Left The Garden.” Martin, with his clever, evocative lyrics and minimalist yet powerful guitar work, captivated the engaged Cambridge crowd, leaving this music fan wondering if this is what evenings at Passim were like when the likes of Dylan and Baez were the focus of attention.
