If there’s one thing I learned at Hiss Golden Messenger‘s latest stop at The Sinclair, it’s that you should never miss a Hiss Mass. Touring behind his new album, “Jump for Joy”, Hiss left us all dancing, clapping, and well, jumping for… a Frisbee?

Opening the night was Sylvie, whose ethereal melodies set the perfect tone for the evening. But when M.C. Taylor and his band of merry makers took the stage, it was pure magic. Their performance was like a soulful roller coaster ride, with Taylor’s gravelly voice weaving tales of heartache and redemption through songs old and Nu.
