New Music | Whitney - No Matter Where We Go
The beauty of a short song is they are usually packed in with a really tight hook. That’s definitely the case with Whitney’s newest single, “No Matter Where We Go,” a near insatiably repeatable song that is the perfect sound for the incoming summer months. This song is all about riding in a car with the windows down, in fact that statement is nearly eponymous. The guitar twirls around like an Duane Allman lick, while Julien Ehrlich’s vocal falsetto leads the repeated hook that’s got instant likability.
Their debut, Light Upon the Lake, is due in June 3 on Secretly Canadian, born of a series of laidback early-morning songwriting sessions during one of the harshest winters in Chicago history, which should come as no surprise.
