New Music | Jimbo Mathus - In The Garden

[J]imbo Mathus is readying himself for a 2013 run to the top of the Americana charts, and to prove his dedication to the race, we share with you the opening track and first single, “In the Garden,” from his forthcoming album White Buffalo. The guitarist and founding member of the one and only Squirrel Nut Zippers dives headfirst into his southern, Delta blues roots in this ode to the deep South, to be released January 22, 2013 on Fat Possum Records.

The talented, Grammy nominated musician is currently only on a tour of his beloved Southern states, but here’s to hoping next year will bring Jimbo’s distinctively warm, Mississippian charm to the chilly Northeast.
